Let’s sing

We call them Angels, because more than once they took us all the way to heaven: rising through the ranks, winning medals at the world's biggest events. They are European champions and World Championships runners-up. They are also the last relay to defeat the US national team, winning the IAAF World Relays Yokohama 2019. We are, of course, talking about the Polish women's 4x400m relay team.

DOHA, QATAR - OCTOBER 06: (L-R) Justyna Święty-Ersetic, Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik, Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz and Iga Baumgart-Witan of Poland celebrate winning silver in the Women's 4x400 metres relay final during day ten of 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 at Khalifa International Stadium on October 06, 2019 in Doha, Qatar. As it turns out, the ladies have many talents, and they can also sing. Justyna Święty-Ersetic, Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik, Iga Baumgart-Witan, Patrycja Wyciszkiewicz-Zawadzka and Anna Kiełbasińska teamed up with the Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble. Together they performed a very popular Polish folk song “Poszła Karolinka do Gogolina”.

It's time the athletic world – and more – got to know the Polish athletes from a completely different angle!
